I hope you’ll bear with me while I dream a little bit. I won’t be waxing eloquent, because that’s not how I roll. I just want to share with you my dreams and goals for myself, the blog, and my family for 2014. And plus, if I write it down, you’ll keep me accountable – the world is watching. That will put a quiver in your liver.

So, here we go…in no certain order.

1. I want to learn to cook using a pressure cooker.

I’m branching out from the crock pot – don’t worry, I will still post crock pot recipes. But, I would enjoy learning something new and maybe doing some videos for y’all…and hopefully not showing the world how to explode a roast onto the kitchen ceiling.

2. I want to get LASIK and PAY CASH.

I can’t believe I actually wrote that down. The idea of having my eyes worked on scares the doo-doo out of me. But, I would like to be able to see when I’m taking a shower, so I know exactly what is getting shaved.

Goals for 2014

3. I want to do a lot more videos for you guys and start a subscription site.

I really want to be able to provide some video classes and meal plans for you all. You’ve been asking for years. Well, it’s time to kick my butt into gear. And I realize no one might subscribe. I do, after all, run a FRUGAL LIVING blog. Sometimes, that bites my behind. Ha!

4. I want to tone up.

I’ve already started working on an exercise plan, and so has Barry. This is the year I stop jiggling in the behind when I walk. This is the year that my inner thighs don’t rub raw when I get hot in the summer. This is the year when my saddlebags go to a new horse. Sayonara, cellulite. And now that I’ve told you that, I feel like I might cry and hide in a closet.

Goals for 2014

5. I want to go on a honeymoon trip with Barry.

We missed our 10 year anniversary trip because Andy was still breastfeeding. I want to put my big girl panties on and be able to leave my kids for a few days to spend some quality time with Barry. I can do this…right? RIGHT?! Wait, I miss them already and I haven’t even gone anywhere.

6. I want to read.

This is no surprise to anyone who knows me. No joke, I have a book stack taller than Andy. I try not to look directly at it, or it threatens to come and eat me. YOU BOUGHT US, NOW GET WITH IT! They haunt me in my sleep. Why are you in the bed, you lazy bum? Get up and READ ME!

Goals for 2014

7. I want to keep my pants up.

This requires that Andy walk. No, he’s not walking yet. 16 months and holding on strong. Instead, he prefers to hold onto my legs and skirts and pants and get around…all the while pulling my skirts down to my ankles. Which is kind of weird when you have company over…and kinda cold when it’s 25 degrees.

8. I want to learn to sew a hem.

DUDE. This is a biggie. I’ve had this sewing machine for years. Years. I thought that buying it was enough to say “hey! I’m a homemaker!” Funny thing though, nothing happens when it just sits there. Lame. So, I could say “yes! I am going to learn to sew a dress this year!” Well, get real. That’s not going to happen. I will be happy if I can learn to turn it on and not sew a hole through my finger. So, sewing a hem is my goal. I can do this. I know, because I pinned some stuff.

Goals for 2014

9. I want to write funny-from-the-heart REAL LIFE posts.

Sometimes I get caught up in the “I must blog” syndrome and I end up scheduling posts like: 20 Uses for Toilet Paper Tubes. Well, probably not many of y’all want to see that. I like being funny. I like being real. I enjoy sharing my life with you on Instagram, even when I set things on fire.  So, what real, funny posts do you want to see from me? How about: Stacy Learns to do a Pushup and Screams, “Help me, Jesus!”

10. I want to write another cookbook.

Actually, it’s already in the works. I’m writing a cookbook about oatmeal. Because I love oatmeal. Pinterest doesn’t lie. I honestly love writing cookbooks. And y’all must love reading them, because Crock On and Keep Crockin’ have been huge hits! :-)

So, that’s it for me. What are you dreaming for this year? And have I lost my mind?
