8 Week T-Tapp Challenge

Disclosure: Some content includes links to sponsors or affiliates, which give me a small percentage of the sale. You are not obligated to use these links when you make a purchase, but when you do so it helps to support this site, so thank you!

Some of you might remember when I wrote the post about working out at home. It’s a great way to save money – keeping your gym membership money in your pocket or putting it toward paying off debt. I told you in that post that I had been doing the T-Tapp DVD…I’m still doing it. And now, I’ve gotten Barry doing it too!

I want to get you guys into T-Tapp too! Why? Well, because I think it’s a great workout. Today I’m starting an 8-week series so that you guys can go along with me. I’ll talk a little bit about exercising with T-Tapp, getting your kids involved with T-Tapp, Barry will talk about men and T-Tapp, and I will discuss a little about our diet.

Don’t worry – no real crazy diets here…because after all, the first three letters of diet are D-I-E.

8 Week T-Tapp Challenge

With T-Tapp, there is no focus on the scale. Instead, the focus is on losing inches. In my first few weeks of T-Tapp, I saw less than 1 inch lost. I was disappointed because so many people lose multiple inches, but I keep going with T-Tapp because I just feel SO GREAT when doing it.

I’m going to focus a little harder on it with you guys and let you see how it works when paired with a great, healthy diet. My goal is to weigh 130 pounds and right now I weigh about 135. Also, I’d like to wear a size 8 pants and I’m in a 10-12. Wow. I can’t believe I wrote that for the whole internet to read. I think I might have just lost my mind. Send a medic.

Barry wants to lose some weight and inches too. I don’t think I’ve told you guys before, but Barry suffers with scoliosis and kyphosis, both back problems. T-Tapp has really helped his back pain, and I want him to tell you guys about that later on.

The Encouraging Home

My friend Mary from The Encouraging Home is walking me through this journey. She’s helped me with all my questions, and I know she would be happy to help you if you have some too. She is training to be a certified T-Tapp instructor, so she knows her stuff.

All the links that I’m using for T-Tapp are Mary’s affiliate links. Since she’s helping me, I want to help her out too. So, if you decide to buy the T-Tapp videos, please use Mary’s affiliate link. Thanks! :-)

So, why did I choose T-Tapp? Here are just a few of the reasons:

  1. It only takes 15 minutes. No, really. Only 15 minutes. As a mom, I might only get 15 minutes a day for exercise, so this is just practical for me. Sometimes I even do this while Annie and Andy are watching…although Annie gets bored pretty quick and runs off to play with her dolls.
  2. There are no weirdo moves. I’m the queen of ungracefulness. Instead of a swan, I’m more like the ugly duckling. There is a reason that Barry sometimes refers to me as “Grace.”
  3. No jumping. For real, y’all. I have this rule. I don’t jump. There are two reasons for that and they’re on my body. I’ll let you figure out the rest of that.
  4. I can do it at home. No gym for me. The work of getting the kids ready and into the car would be more workout than this mama can handle. By the time I got to the gym, I’d be exhausted.
  5. It makes me feel good. I just feel better when I’m tapping.

So, why should YOU T-Tapp? Watch this little clip from Teresa and see why.

Another reason that I LOVE T-Tapp is because you can try before you buy. She lets you see the moves first and try them before you invest in the video. Check out some of those and see just how easy T-Tapp really is. I love that she really stands behind her product.

Now, let’s get started with T-Tapp! I look forward to these 8 weeks with you. And I’m still shocked that I actually put my weight on here. Send a medic.

I would LOVE to try this out! I have a full time IT job, go to school part time, have a hubby, a beautiful 8-year-old daughter, 4 dogs and one new hamster at home. I have been a gym member for over 15 years and NEVER go. I am currently about 60 lbs overweight and have developed diabetes and high blood pressure. I am only 40!. I think I could definitely do 15 mins a day and it would be a good example for my daughter also!

I have never heard of TTap, but 15 minutes sounds awesome. My mind starts to wander if a program is too long!

  101. I’ve had the T-Tapp DVD for years and love it, but have an awful time being consistent. Maybe doing it as a group would help. I could certainly use it! I’ve lost less than five pounds since just after my daughter was born in June!

  102. I subscribed to The Encouraging Home.

  116. 15 minute workout that’s one I might be able to do.

  117. Only 15 minutes of formal exercise sounds like a good plan to me!

  118. I would love to try this. Ive tried P90X before and it was so hard to stick to plus I didn’t have all of the required equipment for it. I think I can manage 15 minutes a day though.

  124. Hi Stacy,
I subscribed to The Encouraging Home and it looks like a great site .

  125. This is the first time I have ever heard of T-Tapp. It seems interesting. I agree with some of the other comments … 15 minutes? That is AWESOME!! Who can’t find 15 minutes! :)

  126. Stephanie says:

I’d love to work out in 15 min a day! I think I could handle that.

  127. emilybelle99 says:

  128. Lori Sosa says:

Would love to make 15 minutes for this!!! :)

  129. governmentality says:

I watched the Try It videos and I’m intrigued. 15 minutes a day sure beats the drive to the gym and endless boring hours of cardio. The pilates class fees no longer fit our budget so I’m looking for a replacement!

  130. I have had very limited time to workout like I want to since I started my new job. This sounds awesome!

  131. 15 minutes WOW! I would love to try T-Tapp. It would be great to do with my husband.

  132. 15 minutes?!! That I can do! I am going to go and peruse the video right now but I’d sure love to win! I am a mom to my angel who’s 19 and has autism, I call her my toddler on steroids :-), a grandma to my three angel kidlets, full time grad-student and crazy and a loon! Thanks for the chance!

    • “You Are Already Subscribed
Your address is already subscribed.” Told ya, I’m crazy! Oh and I luv you cuz you say ‘real’ things like “draws’ and such!! ha!! Thanks again!

  133. T-tapp is an excellent workout-I have 3 of her DVDs, and the book, and they are all great. It’s true-15 minutes is all you need. I am tall and thin, but struggle with that little “mom apron”-UNLESS I’m t-tapping. No more poochy tummy! It’s like rehab for your innards or something. :~) Plus, it makes me more aware of my posture.
I walk my pup each morning, but I really should T-tapp, too. Thanks for the kick in the pants. It’s only 15 minutes-I can fit that in in the afternoon.

  134. this looks amazing. have longed believed my own body was best machine to use for workouts but never had any idea how to do it. would really like to do this. have been exercising but not seeing any results.

  135. Thanks, Stacy! I bought the 15 minute workout at the beginning of Nov and it’s the best $ I ever spent! My pants sizes have been in flux (on the upside) with each of my three children I have had. With T-Tapp, my abdomen has gone down 2.5 inches in two months. (4 days/wk is my goal or minimum.)
Did I mention I have 3 kids? 7 and under. And a heart condition called SVT which remains dormant for the most part except under impact. That’s why I love T-Tapp. 15 minutes and no impact! And it feels like a full body workout except I don’t have the aches and pains the next morning like others I have tried.
One thing I will say about the book is that I am a highly visual person and I couldn’t figure out all the exercises just from reading about them/looking at photos. I HAD to have the video to “get it.” And again, it’s worth the money. I hope lots of your readers will try it because they won’t be sorry. I got my mom doing it, too, and possibly one of my sisters. We keep each other accountable.
One more benefit that I’d like to add to the list. It gets the lymphatic system flowing so you are releasing toxins daily. From every area. I thought cellulite was permanent but some of mine is clearing up. I can’t say enough good things about T-Tapp. Love it! And maybe I’ll see a size 8 again before too long. Dreams can come true. 😉

  136. Hi Stacy,

I hope your new year is going well. I have heard of this program, but haven’t tried it. My “tried and true” VHS exercise video (which didn’t jump or have unusual moves either) finally gave out just before Christmas, so this may be just the thing. I do need something, but haven’t been motivated to get going yet.

Thank you for the information and the opportunity to perhaps get the book.

    Kindest greetings,

  137. I just subscribed to the Encouraging Home – thanks for sharing this resource.

  138. Penni Glass says:

I have back problems and my doctor made me stop my Zumba classes which was very disappointing. I’m looking for a new workout that is not hard on my back. I think I may give this a try. Thanks !

  139. I would love to try this. I am a stay at home mom of 2 that homeschools and I have very little time to workout. I try really hard to work it in but with schooling and trying to cook healthy and having a part time job from home – my time is very limited.

  140. I would love to have no excuses to start TTapp, including owning the material! I keep hearing about it, but once I own it, I won’t have the excuse I have now to forget about it 😉

  141. I also subscribed to The Encouraging Home. Look forward to posts from her too.

  142. Melody Carpenter says:

I would love to win this – with four kids and homeschooling, I only have 15 minutes a day!

  143. I actually have never heard of T-Tapp, so I went to the link and tried a few of the moves. You really do feel it right away and she looks so healthy and strong…and doing it for 20+ years…where have I been?! I would really like to try this. More than pounds I would like to lose inches as well and feel better with more energy – I need to keep up with my 4 girls :). Thanks for the post!

  144. Melody Carpenter says:

I signed up for emails from The Encouraging Home.

  145. Would love to read her book, have some of the DVDs, now to just do them.

  146. I LOVE T-Tapp! Started it back in August & I lost 11 inches the first week (I have much more to loose than you, Stacy, so I’m sure that’s why I lost more inches). But the last month or so, haven’t done much (even though it’s only 15 minutes!). So, time to get back on track – glad I can do it along with you!

  147. I’m not commenting to enter-just to say THANK YOU for doing this! I actually already have the book and the Basic Workout, but doing it along with a buddy (even a virtual one) would make a huge difference in, ahem, actually doing it. 😀

  148. Laurel McKinney says:

The no jumping or weirdo moves got me interested. As a community health representative and educator, I need to be an example of health and fitness. I’m going to T-Tapp and if it works, pass the word on to our customers at the Health Resources Center. By the way, I really, really want the book!!

  149. As a working mom, 15 minutes of fitness may be all I can possibly fit into my day! Sounds great!

  150. Rebecca Loach says:

I have read good things about this video and would love to learn more about this method.

  151. Sounds interesting and it would help doing it with others for 8 weeks.

  152. A long time ago I had a friend who did T-Tapp and loved it. I’ve never tried it but would love to! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  153. This sounds like a great program, a way to get in exercise on days where time is just an issue – I tried for awhile getting up at 5am to get in a workout at the gym, but it was so draining after awhile.

I’m going to have to check this out. Thanks!

  154. No WAY am I taking 7 kids to the gym! Sign me up, Girl! I’ve been wanting to try T-Tap for eons, and was told it would be just as effective on the road. Thank you!

  155. I’m signed up at Mary’s site, also. For me to sign up for an email subscription means I’m serious, Girl! Cuz…well…it just does. 😉

  156. I had never previously heard of T-Tapp, it’s just the type of thing I need to be doing.

  157. Subscribed to The Encouraging Home, looks like a great site!

  158. Jillian Stanton says:

Hi Stacy! I am trying a whole foods diet for my family to get us healthy, and would love to only do 15 minutes a day of exercise!

  159. I have an 8th month old baby, and this sounds like a great way to help me get back to my regular clothes size. Thank you!

  160. Been looking for an alternative to the gym, after working all day and then coming home to fix dinner and THEN to the gym, it is just exhausting.

  161. I would love to try TTapp. I have 3 kids so a 15 minute workout is very appealing!

  162. I would love to give this a try!

  163. Thanks for the chance to win!

  168. Robin Murphy says:

I subscribed to the Encouraging Home!

  169. I checked the basic workout dvd from my local library and loved it! I haven’t purchased it yet, but it’s on my to buy list. I am excited to read all the results you’ve seen from doing it daily. I tried to convince my hubby that it would be good for his back, but he hasn’t been convinced yet. He also has scoliosis and so the fact that you mentioned Barry has that too made me very interested. I am very much looking forward to what he has to say about his T-Tapp experience especially because of my own husband’s back pain from having scoliosis himself!

  170. I need all the fitness help I can get – would love to give this a try! No jumping – YAY!

  171. I am already subscribed to The Encouraging Home – love both of y’all’s blogs!

  172. Would love a chance at this!

You totally got me started on this, and I just (10 minutes ago) ordered the senior workout for my 79 yo grandma, using my 50% off coupon from ordering other starter sets – love T-tapp, starting to gain muscle and lose size. Not checking weight :) As someone with “more to lose”, I finally feel there is hope with this workout, unlike most others or even other diet plans. Just remember to tuck butt, lift ribs.
